Gene Frumkin

Variations on the Taste
of Dried Apricots

1
Tongue and palate are darkly lit
by the afterglow of the dried apricot
in its sour sunset.
2

heard on the lips:
the sound
is soft and round.
3

struck by the tooth,
vibrates on the tongue.
